Ghyll scrambling in Stickle Ghyll, Langdale

Stickle Ghyll is a great, fun choice if you’re after something varied but accessible, with easier options available throughout for those who want them. You’ll climb waterfalls (roped where needed), make smaller jumps into deep plunge pools and work your way steadily up this beautiful Lakeland stream, gaining height as the valley opens out around you.

It works particularly well as an introduction to ghyll scrambling and often leaves people surprised at what they’ve managed by the end.
